Blog Journal #10

  1. I learned a lot from completing Assignment 5 PowerPoint Interaction. For example, I learned how to hyperlink to a different page on the same PowerPoint. I also learned how to disable the “next” setting on the PowerPoint. Although I had a sound on a PowerPoint slide, it was not the correct way. I struggled figuring out how to do this. Next time, I will make sure to improve this when adding sound.

  2. As a teacher, I will definitely use data collection (surveys) in my classroom. I may teach elementary school, therefore there is not one single subject to teach. However, I could collect data such as the student’s grades on a test. I could compare the data between my students and see the average test grade. This will help me grasp where most of my students are when understanding the class material.

  3. I found some interesting topics while reading my classmates blog’s. I really enjoyed reading what they learned from the assignments they were given. It is interesting to see what different people get out of doing the same project. It is also interesting to see what prior knowledge people had compared to me. It is nice to see a lot of other people are still being introduced to new things, not just me.

  4. As of right now, I do not have any tech-flex or digital badges. However, I have reviewed some of them, but just have never gotten around to it. Although optional, I feel like they are a good way to enhance your learning in this class. I will definitely give them a try.

  5. A technology skill I would like to learn next is Zoom. I know how to join a Zoom meeting, but that is all. I am unfamiliar with how to start my own meeting or use the features it has. For example, I know you can share your screen, but I am not sure how. I want to learn this skill because Zoom is a big part of the world today. Jobs, teachers, families, and more use Zoom every day for multiple purposes. I feel like it would be a useful skill to have. To obtain this skill, I will practice using Zoom and explore the features. In addition, I could ask someone who is more familiar with it for help.
